Mary Frances Barnwell

Fairview ~ Mary King Barnwell, 69 of Bob Barnwell Road, died on Monday, November 3, 2008 in a local hospital. She was the daughter of the late Eugene King and Elizabeth Harris King and was preceded in death by her brother, Don King. She was formerly a Certified Nursing Assistant and was involved with childcare for many years. She was a member of Emmas Grove Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, James Ed-ward Barnwell of Fairview; two daughters, Robbie Owenby of Hendersonville and Tammy Bryant of Colum-bia, SC; a son, Jimmy Barn-well of Fairview; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three sisters, Betty Barnwell and Rachel Gurganus both of Charlotte and Annette King Firkatoune of Kannapolis; a brother, Wil-liam King of Salisbury. A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Thursday at Emmas Grove Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Emmas Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 – 8:00 P.M. on Wednesday at Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian on Long Shoals Road. Memorials may be made to American Heart Association, P.O.
