Mary B. Gaunce Towles, 92, passed away peacefully on March 23, 2016.
Mary was born on February 19, 1924 in Nicholas County, KY, to the late Oscar Gaunce and Lyda Myrtle Owens Gaunce. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Willie Hamilton Towles, who passed on October 1, 1984 at the age of 70 and her son, Jimmie Lee Towles, who passed on March 14, 1957 at the age of 2.
She is survived by her son, Charles Towles and his partner, Billie Harding of Leland, NC; her daughter, Ann Rigger of Nashville, TN; two granddaughters, Pamela Jo Towles Lail and her husband, Ross, of Mooresville, NC and Kimberly Ann Towles Barnwell and her husband, Jon, of Johnson City, TN and two great-grandchildren, Levi Jackson Lail and Novella Skye Barnwell.
Mary will be cremated and her ashes will be taken to Carlisle, KY to be laid to rest in the same cemetery as her husband and their son.

The CarePartners staff has been wonderful to the family, took excellent care of Mary and works every day to provide compassionate care to people in the last stages of their life.
