Mary Hendrix Kuykendall

Mary Frances Hendrix Kuykendall, 91, of Leicester, died Monday, September 18, 2017 at the WNC Baptist Home. A native of Buncombe Co., Mary was the daughter of the late Aubry and Agnes Piercy Hendrix. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Norman Kuykendall, son, Michael Kuykendall, and daughter-in-law, Sheila Kuykendall. Surviving are her son, Tim Kuykendall; daughter-in-law, Debbie Kuykendall; granddaughters, Amy and Jillian Kuykendall; and great-granddaughters, Aubrey and Anna Kate. Graveside services for Mrs. Kuykendall will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday at Green Hills Cemetery, with Mr. G.B. Pressley officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Progressive Education Program of Estes Elementary School, 275 Overlook Rd., Asheville, NC 28803. Groce Funeral Home on Patton Ave. is assisting the family.
