From Larry and Carolyn Porter and family
Mary Jane was a wonderful lady, I’m glad we had the opportunity to know her when we were in Asheville.
My parents have been her neighbors for many years. My brother, husband and myself always took meals during the holidays acrss the street to her.It was a part of our holiday celebration. We loved her dog because we are pug/boston terrior people, too. We will surely miss her and I know my parents have lost a precious friend.
We are very saddened to hear of the passing of Mary Jane, my Father’s cousin and good friend. We know she’s with Jesus now, free of pain and suffering. She will live in our memory until we meet again.
She is to be admired for many things but especially knowing that she called my Dad every Veterans Day without fail, just to say ‘Thank You’? for your service to our Country. What a sweet and selfless soul.

Signed on behalf of my father James A. Hesse, wife Merlyn and family.
