Mary Jo Coward Goforth, 89, passed away on Thursday, September 1, 2022.
A native of Greeneville, TN, Mary Jo was the daughter of the late Steven and Sally Brown Coward. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Arthell Goforth.
She is survived by her daughter, Phyllis Ann Norton (Tommy); grandchildren, Steve Norton (Terri) and Jeff Norton; and great-grandchildren Jeremiah, Perpetua, Christian, and Zechariah.
Her family will receive friends beginning at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 7, at Liberty Baptist Church, Spring Creek. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m., officiated by Pastor Greg Warren. Burial will take place in the church cemetery.

Mary Jo was my mom’s best friend growing up. She introduced Hardy my father and her brother to my mom. They were married 44 years when my dad went to be with our Lord. A SUPER Fun Aunt, Loved her so much ❤️
