Mary Jo Morrow Craig, 66, went home to be with the Lord peacefully on Saturday, October 4, 2014 after a battle with cancer. Mary was the daughter of the late William Frank and Bessie Parris Morrow and was also preceded in death by a sister, Rachel Rhew; father-in-law, John R. Craig, Sr. and brother-in-law, Rick Craig. She was a member of Skyland First Baptist Church and she retired from Crescent View Retirement Center as Marketing Director. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, "Rusty" Craig; one son, John R. Craig, III (Dana); one daughter, Nicki Wiggins; two granddaughters, Lauren and Taylor Wiggins; four sisters, Martha Hensley, Patricia Miller, Jean Barnwell and Sandra Coston; mother-in-law, Audrey Craig; brother-in-law, Rod Craig; sister-in-law, Mary Curtis and many other close family and friends too numerous to list, but who loved her deeply. The family would like to thank all who supported with calls, flowers, cards, visits, and most of all thanks for the prayers. She has gone home peacefully and is no longer in discomfort. Thanks again. The family has requested a private service with Pastor David Honeycutt officiating. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, October 11, 2014 at Skyland First Baptist Church Family Life Center at 1:00 pm. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made in Mary's memory to Skyland First Baptist Church Family Life Center, P.O. Box 278, Skyland, NC 28776 or to a charity of one's choice.
