MARY JO WILLIS

Mary Jo Willis, 78 of Carter's Sunrise Acres, Fairview, died Sunday, April 11, 1999 in a local health care facility.
A lifelong resident of Buncombe County, she was the daughter of the late James Martin and Laura Bell McMahan Brown and wife of the late Robert W. Willis, who died in 1964. She was also preceded in death by four brothers, Earl Anders, Bill Brown, Jess Brown and Jim Brown.
Mrs. Willis was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Mills River and was a retired nurse's aide at Flesher's Fairview Health Care.
She is survived by a daughter, Karen Keaton of Fairview and a sister, Glaydel Kuykendall of Asheville.
A graveside service will be held at 11 am Thursday at Emma's Grove Baptist Church and a memorial service will be held Sunday at 3 pm in the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Mills River.
The family will receive friends from 7 until 8:30 pm Wednesday at Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian.
