Mary Lou Votipka, 57, of Leicester, passed away on Saturday, August 10, 2024, at the CarePartners Solace Center.
A native of Buncombe Co., Mary is the daughter of Minnie Seay Manos and of the late Jeter Manos. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Daniel David Manos.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Chris Votipka; daughters, Kristie Davis Towe and husband Todd Towe and Laura Decarlo; sister, Betty Manos; brothers, Johnny Manos, Geter Ray Manos, Samuel Timothy Manos, and Earnest Prichard Manos; and grandchildren, Nathaniel Towe, Penelope Lowman, and Darrow Decarlo.
Her family will receive friends beginning at 12:30 p.m. at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Ave. on Monday, August 12. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. The Rev. Cody Reynolds will officiate. Burial will then take place at Newfound Baptist Church Cemetery.

Minnie and Family, Larry and I were so very sorry to hear of the passing of Mary. So many memories of your family during the years. Listening to all your children playing while Larry and I set on the front porch. Our love and prayers are with each of you.
