Mary Lou Woody Surrett

Mary Lou Woody Surrett, 90, of 286 Sugar Creek Road, Leicester, died Friday, February 9, 2007, at Hospice Solace Center. A native of Buncombe County, she was a daughter of the late Gomer and Etter King Woody. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Shelton Mark Surrett, who died in 2003; a son, Dallas Surrett, who died in 2006; sister, Velda Woody; brothers, Robert E. Woody and Walter Zealotis Woody. Mrs. Surrett is survived by a special friend, Eva Turner, of Leicester. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Sunday at Paynes Chapel Community Church with the Rev. Steve Robinson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Her family will receive friends one hour before the service at the church and extend special thanks to Dr. Stillson and the nurses at Hospice Solace Center.
