Mary Trentacoste Granato

Mary Granato, nee Mary Rose Trentacoste, died Sunday, June 26, 2005 at Universal Health Care. She was born December 31, 1911 in Brooklyn, New York and was a daughter of the late Peter Trentacoste and Rosalia Tocco. Mrs. Granato graduated from New York University in 1933 with a BA in Education. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Joseph Granato, whom she married in 1937. She is survived by two children, Dr. John Granato of Los Angeles, California and daughter, Joan Dworak and her husband James, of Asheville; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one sister, Grace Trentacoste of Candlewood Lake, New Fairfield, Connecticut and one brother, Salvatore Trentacoste from Redbank, New Jersey. A Mass of the Resurrection will be said at St. Aedan’s Catholic Church in Pearl River, New York under the direction of Wyman Fisher Funeral Home in Pearl River.
