Mrs. Hughes was born in Asheville and was a daughter of the late Fred H. and Ella Bates Warren. She was also preceded in death by her husband, H.A. “Hub” Hughes, three sisters, Luemma Harrin, Inez Ball, and Juanita Chadwick, and two brothers, Eulus Warren and Alfred J. Warren. She was a member of Sunrise Baptist Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Vivian Hughes Henson and Marlene Hughes Revis, both of Candler; one son, Steve G. Hughes of Asheville; four sisters, Pearl Byrd, Addie Soesbee and Altha Kanipe of Asheville, and Christine Robinson of Quantico, VA; one brother, Fred S. (Bud) Warren of Columbia, SC; and two grandchildren, Jason Henson of Candler and Dr. Sheley Revis of Charlotte.
Graveside services will be at 11:30 am Friday at Green Hills Cemetery with the Rev. Robert E. Harris officiating.
Her family will receive friends from 7 - 8:30 pm Thursday at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue.

Vivian , I was so sorry to hear that your Mom had passed away………I always thought she was a very sweet woman……I wish I had known earlier so I could have come to the funeral………you will be in my thoughts and prayers ……….
