  4. I’ve had the pleasure to live across the street from Maude these last 5 1/2 years. She has been my best friend and an inspiration to me. We’ve shared all sorts of stories and conversations and I can’t imagine not seeing her out on her front porch watering plants, sweeping, or waving to passers by. I am so grateful to have known her and to have gotten a glimpse into her 91+ years of life. So much of that life was spent giving to others and working hard. I will greatly miss Maude, as I’m sure many others will. My thoughts are with you all.

I wish with all my heart I could be there for the funeral, but I am in Philadelphia until Wednesday. Know I will be there in spirit and will visit her grave site when I return home.
    Linda
