Maude Teague Roberson

Maude Teague Roberson, 96, of Candler, died on Friday, May 16, 2014, at Pisgah Manor Health Care Center. A native of Buncombe Co., Mrs. Roberson was a daughter of the late James Robert and Ella Gossett Teague. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Kenny Roberson, by her two sisters, and by her four brothers. Mrs. Roberson is survived by many nieces and nephews. A funeral service for Mrs. Roberson will be on Sunday at 3:00 p.m. at Western Chapel United Methodist Church, where she had been a longtime member. The Revs. Ed Worley and Frederick D. Sibley will officiate. Interment will follow in the church's cemetery. Her family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Western Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund, P.O. Box 1657, Leicester, NC 28714. Groce Funeral Home on Patton Ave. is assisting the family.
