Maurice Griffin Holcombe

Maurice Griffin Holcombe, 77, of 66 Pete Luther Cove Rd., Candler, died Friday, July 23, 1999 in a local nursing facility.

A native of Buncombe County she was the daughter of the late Rufus O. and Ethel Smith Griffin. She was preceded in death by her husband James W. Holcombe and a son Bruce W. Holcombe. She was a retired employee of Southern Bell and a member of Liberty Baptist Church.

She is survived by a grandson Brandon Scott Holcombe of Marshall.

Graveside services will be 11:00 am Monday at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with the Reverend Stanley Taylor officiating.

Her family will receive friends 5- 6:00 pm Sunday at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue.
