So sorry for your loss.
Judy Fisher Johnston (Bobby)
Maurice was always such a wonderful gentleman, friend, and mentor to me. His small kindnesses to me, in periods of stress and uncertainty, were welcome reassurance that all was right with the world. His devotion to his family and his friends, and his service to the community and those in it, was obvious at every turn. His life was the epitome of what a man and a Mason can and should be. His kind smile, deep laugh, mischievous eye twinkle, and gentle reassurances that all is well will be deeply missed. My life is so much richer for having crossed paths with him. Thank you to the family for sharing him with me.
Words can’t express the sadness of your passing. You, along with my brothers have been the man I’ve looked up to and respected my entire life. You always had a smile on your face and wise words to give. I will truly miss you Uncle Maurice. I know you and Aunt Sarah and Mom and the rest of the family up there had a celebration of your presence. I love you always.
Your niece forever,
All my love,
Renee
We are so sorry to hear of your loss Dan. Our thoughts and prayers are with you my friend.
Many fond thoughts of getting the news of Averys Creek as I would call frequently from here out West and catch the Herzberg boys, Maurice and Rudy, cruising the malls. They were a most positive influence on my life growing up in Averys Creek.
Many fond thoughts of Maurice as I grew up in Averys Creek. In the latter years I would often call from here, out West, to catch up on Averys Creek news and catch the Herzberg boys, Maurice and Rudy cruising the malls!
They were a most positive influence on me growing up in Averys Creek.
Most pleasant of thoughts the family’s way during these challenging times.
Donna & Linda and family. I am so sorry to hear about your dad. Saddest day of my life when I lost mine ❤️
Donna & Linda so sorry for your loss.
Dan, Paula, Stella, Sarah, and the extended Herzberg Family, we are very sorry to learn of your loss, but we’re so very happy for Mr. Herzberg. He knows love and joy right now that we can’t begin to fathom with our mortal minds. Prayers lifted for the peace, comfort, and strength that only our LORD can provide.

Maurice and I were friends for many years. I would be there certainly to celebrate his life if I were not in ill health myself. I must say that my brother was always there for me when I needed him the most. He helped me through my catazism and the Chairs when I was advancing through the Lodge. Like me, Maurice was a paper make. I send my condolences to Maurice’s family and his extended family and friends as they go through these difficult times. May the Great Architect of the Universe give them strength.

Just heard about Maurice. Lots of the family wasn’t aware, or we would have been at the cemetery. I remember him and Sarah so fondly. Forever will miss Sarah’s biscuits and Maurice’s always smiling face. My condolences to you, but he with Sarah now, and ever rejoicing with his Lord.
