May J. McCurry

May 27, 1903 ~ February 10, 1999

May J. McCurry, 95, of 119 Belmont Avenue, Asheville, went to be with Jesus Wednesday, February 10, 1999, from her home.

Mrs. McCurry was born in Madison County and was married to the late Virgil Monroe McCurry.

She is survived by three daughters, Vera Parrott, Barbara Ward, and Louise Rice; two sons, Cecil McCurry and Bill McCurry; 26 grandchildren and numerous great and great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm Saturday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Revs. Terry Burke and Ray Wilson officiating. Burial will be in Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery.

Her family will receive friends from 7 - 8:30 pm Friday at the funeral home.
