Maye Farmer Gross
Fletcher – Maye Farmer Gross, 88, beloved wife and mother, died Friday, August 29, 2014 at Beystone Health & Rehabilitation.
Born October 29, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Chesley and Ara Farmer. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Lois Tate and Florine Poteat and three brothers, Whitey, Chuck and Bill Farmer.
Maye was a homemaker and a proud member of the Ladies Auxiliary Veterans of Foreign Wars.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Andrew Jackson Gross; three sons, Rick W. Gross (Kathy), Randy H. Gross and Rodney J. Gross, two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, September 5, 2014 at Calvary Episcopal Churchyard with Pastor Caleb Kurbis of Living Savior Lutheran Church officiating.
The family would like to thank the CNA’s, nurses, doctors and other caregivers of Beystone Health & Rehabilitation for their thoughtful compassion shown towards Maye.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Henderson County Rescue Mission, 639 Maple St., Hendersonville, NC 28792.
