Meg was a great friend, sincere, very helpful, amazing hiker companion and her faith in God was always present in her life. I was blessed to have her as my friend. May God keep her in His glory.
I knew Meg for 60+ years, we shared walks/hikes, ice creams, concerts, and conversation. She was kind generous and full of energy, someone who deeply cared about the world and its beauty.
Elwood

Meg, I so very appreciate your kindness and warm smile.
My garden club friend for 25 years. Always kind and cheerful. I will miss your loving spirit.
Sorry to hear about your loss. You and Meg had many wonderful years together and it was a blessing she came into your life. I m heart broken . May God give you peace and strength during this most difficult time in life. My thoughts and prayers are with both families.
Meg was one of the sweetest people I have ever known. It has been a few years since I have seen her but I have many happy memories of time spent with her and her family. She had an innocence about her that is rarely seen these days and was kind and gracious to everyone always. She will be greatly missed and always cherished. Condolences to her husband Elwood and her friends.
I was just looking for Meg’s address to contact her about the Milton flood to see whether she was alright. Meg was the last lineal descendant of Charles Monroe Butler, son of Emma Seiberling and Charles Butler. Emma and my great-grandmother, Catherine “Kate” Irene Seilberling (Mrs. Frank Lincoln Kryder) were sisters, and daughters of Monroe Seiberling and Sara Miller. Emma and Charles married at the Seiberling Mansion in Kokomo, Indiana, a home that Monroe Seiberling had constructed. One of the bridesmaids was Mina Miller, a cousin from Akron, Ohio, who went on to marry Thomas Edison. Meg’s mother was a very good friend of mine, and I had the pleasure of writing her memorial for the Social Register as she contributed some priceless art to a number of museums in NC. We shared a wonderful family reunion in Kokomo around 2004 with many branches of our extended Seiberling Family. I visited with Meg when she was in college, and she came to visit me in Nashville when my three daughters were in elementary school. Her Christian Science faith kept her well grounded, like her parents, and my great-grandmother., and her Victorian upbringing served her well! I will miss you Meg
