Black Mountain – Melissa Dawn West McCulloch, 41, died unexpectedly Tuesday, April 19, 2011. Melissa was born in Buncombe County to the late Jeanette Bailey West and Calvin Glenn West. She was a lover of all animals and especially dogs. Mrs. McCulloch is survived by her husband, Brian McCulloch; a daughter, Breanna McCulloch; a son, Kevin Behm and two sisters, Debbie Whitaker and Pam Luu. A graveside service will be held on Friday, April 22, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Woodlawn Cemetery in Oakley. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:30 pm Thursday, April 21, 2011 at Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian on Long Shoals Road. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to The Asheville Humane Society, 14 Forever Friend Lane, Asheville, NC 28806.

  2. I was so heartbroken to hear of Missy’s passing. She was a great person. Everytime it snows I will think of her and how she always loved it. She will be greatly missed. I will be praying for her family.

I will keep your family in my prayers. Just know Heaven got an Angel yesterday and she will be looking down on those she loved and held so dear.
