  4. Helen, our hearts are broken, our thoughts and prayers are with you and the family. We have so many great memories, a kind Gentleman, would do anything in the world for you. I remember all the times in the snow, if he couldn’t make it, Jeff would come get him, blizzard of 93, me and him the only ones to make it to work, ceilings caving in, and they didn’t want to pay us. Boy you didn’t fool with Melvins money. I will laugh always about that. So many other memories, I looked forward to seeing him every morning, he was just such a ray of sunshine, and now Heaven is a brighter place. We love you, and if their is anything we can do please let us know.

  5. God Bless you Melvin Walsh, I spent 10 yrs. with the Asheville Police Dept. and Melvin trained me along with many other new officers. 6. I find it hard to express just what a loss I feel after hearing about Melvin. He was truly one of the finest Officers I had the privilege of working with. My thoughts and prayers are with Helen and the family.
