Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. While I grieve at the loss of one the Heroes in my life; I rejoice knowing that Merle is
with Jesus, no longer bound by the chains of an aging body.

Growing up I was impressed by Merle’s obedience and faithfulness in forging on
ahead in the Lord in spite of many obstacles. Now that I am an adult,
his example is even more inspiring. Truly, Merle has been a blessing to the body of Christ and I will
    miss him.

May the Lord grant HIS peace in this time to his natural and spiritual family.

  2. Merle has been a very positive impact on my life for over 25 years. We especially enjoyed the times that he visited Clarksville and shared the love of Christ.

Heidi (my wife), Glenn Kennedy, Mike & Brenda Crow, and I intend to be at the memorial service.

    • We went to Merle’s memorial service, but the date on Mack’s comment is incorrect. It should say sometime in 2001, not 2009.

  3. Merle was a great inspiration to me for many years. I have fond memories of listening to the Lord speak through Merle’s piano playing. He was a carrier of God’s life and a joy to all who knew him. We all will miss him and look forward to seeing him again one day.

  4. Merle was a tremendous blessing to us and to many others. The way he emanated the Lord’s presence was so uplifting and his gift of playing in the Spirit was so inspirational.

We will miss him but look forward to reuniting with him at the Lord’s return.

  5. Merle marked my life by playing his piano to illuminate scripture passages. Today I am using his ideas and inspiration to begin to do the same. AsI read a passage in the mornings, I play it as the words touch my heart and soul. I am asking the Holy Spirit to increase this capacity for his glory.
