Michael Eugene “Mike” Greenarch, Sr., 47, of 75 Mailon King Road, Leicester, died Tuesday, August 2, 2005, at Memorial Mission Hospital. Mr. Greenarch was born in Haywood County and was a son of Ella Robinson of Canton and the late Charles Greenarch. He was employed as a driver for Johnson Salvage Yard. Mr. Greenarch was also a member of Fairmont Baptist Church in Enka-Candler. In addition to his mother he is survived by his wife Paula “Kaye” Wyatt Greenarch; a daughter, Carla Burris of Canton; two sons, Michael Eugene Greenarch, Jr. and Eddie Greenarch of the home; a step-son Terry Holland, Jr. and his wife Leigh of Skyland; two sisters, Debra Green and her husband Dan of Canton and Cheryl Hill of Canton; a brother David Greenarch and his wife Sue of Canton; his step-mother Carolyn Greenarch of Clyde and five grandchildren. The funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Rev. Louis Grant officiating. Burial will be at Payne’s Chapel Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Michael E. Greenarch Jr., Eddie Greenarch, Charlie Greenarch, David Greenarch, Greg White and Keith Teague. His family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home and at other times the family will be the home. Memorials be made to Little Mount Zion Baptist Church, 21 Hillside Street, Weaverville, NC 28787.
