Mike Moore of Arden, NC passed away Saturday, September 2, 2017 at the age of 58. He was born in Wilmington, DE January 17, 1959 to Donald Moore and Betty Justice, both deceased. Mike started his own concrete finishing company at the age of 25, and has continued to serve as one of the top concrete finishers along the east coast. Mike is survived by his wife of 36 years, Tammy Allen Moore, and was a loving father to their children, Nicki Moore Blomquist, Ashley Moore Cates and son in law Chris, Michael “Ace” Moore all of Arden, NC, Cynthia Vandiford and son in law JM of Farmville, NC. Mike had nine grandchildren, Dylan, Mikey, Kylie, Hailey, Aubree, Emery, Gracie, Cole & Chase. Mike also had three siblings, Jean Meconi, Richard Moore, (deceased), and James Canter. A visitation will be held at Long Shoals Baptist Church of Arden, NC on Wednesday, September 6, 2017 from 1:30-3:00pm with service immediate following at 3:00 PM with Reverend Roger Rearden officiating. Burial will follow the service at Roberts Memorial Park in Arden.

When I think about Mike the first thing that comes to mind is how hard he always worked and how much he loved his family. Just know that you all are in our prayers daily.

  11. As a close friend of Mike’s during his days in Elkton, I’m offering my sincere condolences to his family. Although it has been many years, our memories of crazy / fun times with Mike are spoken of often (and with lots of laughter). I can only hope that many good memories help your family to heal from the loss.
