MILDRED GUY WARREN Mildred Guy Warren, 87, of 86 Beaverdam Loop Road, Candler, died Tuesday, March 9, 2004. Mrs. Warren was born in Buncombe County and was a daughter of the late William Arthur and Monnie Allen Guy. She was preceded in death by her husband Earl Dwight Warren who died in 1944 during WW II and was also preceded in death by two sisters Macy Pettit and Inez Daniel and four brothers Dub, C.B., William O. and Leslie Guy. She was retired from American Enka. Surviving are a daughter, Helen Brown and her husband Bobby of Candler, four grandchildren, Ricky, Robert, Kevin and Kristi Brown; three sisters Irene Guy and Lacy Taylor of Candler and Elsie Propest and her husband James of Asheville; and one brother James Edwin Guy of Candler. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Browns View United Methodist Church with the Revs. Ed Worley and Will Pruett officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Her family will receive friends in the church fellowship hall following the service. Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue is in charge of the arrangements.
