Mildred L. “Mickie” Miller, of Springfield, VA, died Thursday, August 8, 2002, in a Falls Church, VA hospital.
Miss Miller was born in Haywood County and was a daughter of the late Suel C. and Nola Rutherford Miller. She was retired after 34 years with the US Government. She was a member of the Nellie Custis Chapter #169, Order of Eastern Star and was a long-time volunteer at Fairfax Hospital in Falls
Church.
She is survived by two sisters, Christine Fore of Lilburn, GA
and Mary Fisher of Spartanburg, SC,
seven nieces, four nephews, and
several great-nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at
2:00 pm Wednesday in the Patton
Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral
Home with the Rev. Donald N.
Welborn officiating. Entombment will follow at Forest Lawn Mausoleum.
Memorials may be made to the Nellie Custis Chapter 169, OES, or to charity of choice.
