Mildred Roberts Cole, 90, passed away Monday, March 22, 2010 at Aston Park Health Care Center.
A native of Buncombe County, she was the daughter of the late Moody and Dora Alexander Roberts. She retired as a supervisor from American Enka after 32 years of service.
Surviving are her husband Morris "Wimp" Cole; son, Leslie Cole and wife Nancy of Greenville, SC; grandson, Chris Cole of Charlotte; granddaughter, Kathryn Cole of Greenville, SC and two great-grandchildren, Jake Massey and Ashtyn Cole of Charlotte.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm. Thursday at Newfound Baptist Church with Revs. Mark Ball and Charles Phillips officiating. Interment will follow at Episcopal Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

I knew Mildred when she worked at Enka. We had many wonderful times at work. She was a very nice person who I enjoyed knowing very much. I’ll be missing her.
