Mildred Rogers, one of God's angels, 60, of 15 Wishing Well Dr., Candler, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 18, 2008, at Memorial Campus Mission Hospitals.
A native of McDowell Co., Ms. Rogers was a daughter of the late Elmer and Burndena Warren Rogers. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Barbara Jane Clontz.
Ms. Rogers is survived by her sisters, Linda Marlor and husband Bobby, of Candler, and Helen Hyatt, of Arden; and by a number of nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.
A funeral service for Ms. Rogers will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Groce Funeral Home chapel on Patton Ave with the Rev. Bobby Winebarger officiating. Entombment will follow in the Forest Lawn Mausoleum.
Her family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Linda and Family, I just saw this in the paper. I will always remember Mildred in how she loved Adam. She would always call him Abby. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
