Mildred ''Rosie'' Haney

Mildred ''Rosie'' Eplee Haney, 71, of 83 Kentel Rd., Candler, died Wednesday, April 5, 2000 at her residence. A native of Buncombe County, she was a daughter of the late James H. and Evelyn Boyd Eplee. She attended Ridgeway Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, Charles C. Haney; a daughter, Brenda Haney of Candler; three sons, Bruce Haney and his wife, Jean, of Candler, Larry Haney and his wife Nikki of Asheville and Marvin Haney of Candler; three sisters, Helen Scott of Asheville, Mary Ann Crook and Jimmie Deane Parris both of Candler; a brother, Jerry Eplee of Candler; thirteen grandchildren and six great- grandchildren. Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Saturday at Ridgeway Baptist Church, with Revs. Jackie Collins, Lewis Gibson and Robert Elliott officiating. Her family will receive friends 7-8:30 Friday at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue, where the body will remain until being placed in the church 30 minutes prior to the service.
