Mildred Wilson Fleming

Mildred Wilson Fleming, 96, formerly of Asheville, died Thursday, May 30, 2013. Mrs. Fleming was born in Buncombe County and was preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Rose Ensley Wilson, her husband, Reuben Fleming, her son, Reuben Fleming, Jr., and her brother, Dean Wilson. She is survived by a daughter, Judith Deane F. Ownbey and husband Joe of Brevard; 7 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great grandchildren; sister, Laura Hamlin of Asheville; and nieces Lynn Causey of Hendersonville, NC, and Nancy Wilson of Washington, NC. Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday at Green Hills Cemetery, with the Rev. Kerry Purselle officiating. Her family will receive friends from 1:00 to 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Groce Funeral Home, Patton Ave., prior to the service.
