Morris Dale Pearson

He was the son Marie Pearson Smith of Candler and the late Bura H. Pearson and he retired as Chief Court Reporter, State of Delaware, in August, 1991, after 25 years of service.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 25 years, Jo Ann Brooks Pearson; four brothers, W. Carroll Pearson of Bluffton, SC, James Lewis and W. Dean Pearson of Candler, and Bobby Pearson of Canton; and two sisters, Carlyn Calloway of Canton and Brenda Raines of Pickens, SC.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm Thursday at Trinity Baptist Church, 216 Shelburne Road, West Asheville, with the Rev. Ralph Sexton, Jr. and the Rev. Terry Tweed officiating. Burial will be at Pisgah View Memorial Park.

Mr. Pearson will remain at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue until being taken to the church Thursday afternoon where his family will receive friends from 1 - 2 pm.
