Morris William Lunsford

Morris William Lunsford passed away Sunday, January 10, 2021, at Mission Hospital.

Mr. Lunsford was born July 7, 1943 to the late Jonah and Mae Williams Lunsford in Buncombe County, where he lived most of his life. He worked at the Asheville Mall for 25 years.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Hazel Ducker and Ruby Ducker, and by brothers Grady, Earl and Bud Lunsford.

Surviving to cherish his memory is his brother, Wayne Lunsford of Woodfin, NC, who was a blessing in caring for him; a special niece, Hilda Edwards and husband Jim, of Alexander, NC; a dear friend, Marie Laster of TN, who always was sending him something nice and lots of calls; and a number of nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

The family would like the doctors, nurses and staff at Pisgah Manor to know how much they appreciate the care given to Morris.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday at Ashelawn Gardens of Memory.
