Mozell Ayers Allen, 97, of Arden, passed away Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at Pisgah Manor Healthcare Center.
A native of McDowell County, she was a daughter of the late James Augustus and Minnie Creasman Ayers. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Orville Conrad Allen and son, Charles Allen, who both passed away in 2001.
She was a member of Bent Creek Baptist Church.
Mozell is survived by one son, Mike Allen and his wife, Barbara; three grandchildren, Dean Allen and his wife, Libby, Traci Lipe and her husband, Brian and Deborah Visbeck and her husband, Jim, as well as three sisters, Ruth Lance, Lillian Lowery and Jo Lauffer and one brother, Jake Ayers.
A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, August 6, 2016 in the Chapel of Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian with Dale Butler and Rondall Owen officiating.
Interment will follow at Bent Creek Baptist Church Cemetery and the family will receive friends from 2:00-3:00 PM on Saturday at the funeral home.
So sorry to hear about Mozell.. I met her several years ago. I am granddau of John and Eula Goode. I have often thought about my dada family. My thoughts are with all the family.

Mike. I am so sorry for your lose. I loved Mozell she was one of my favorites while I was working at Pisgah Manor. I saw her daily and will miss her smile and laughter. She was a wonderful lady and will be missed.

I will miss seeing Mozell’s smiling face when I go to Pisgah Manor… She was a special lady who was always willing and wanting to talk to you.. God has gotten another blessed angel.
Aunt Mozell was my very favorite aunt. I loved her so much. I know she is in heaven now.
