Myrtle Louise Waldrop, 82, passed away September 14, 2020 at home after a long battle of breast cancer.
She is survived by her children, Theresia Hamlin, Rhonda Harris, Kevin Hamlin, Keith (Debbie) Hamlin; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Myrtle worked for years at American Enka where she made many lifetime friends. She loved to have a good time and travel. Never meeting a stranger. She loved the old gospel songs and her house was open to many. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. We love you Mom, Mamaw.
A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, September 19, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Spirit Life Church, 39 Pisgah Methodist Church Road, Candler NC 28715.
Memorials may be made to The Hope Chest for Women, P.O. Box 5294, Asheville, NC 28813.
Special thanks to Dr. Messino and staff at Messino Cancer Center, Renea Hawkins, moms chemo nurse and friend who took special care of her during her illness.

Myrtle, you will be missed. I am honored to have known you..I admired you always looking your best, even when you I am sure felt bad.
