Myrtle Viola Parham, 97, of Leicester, died Monday, January 19, 2015.
A native of Buncombe Co., she was a daughter of the late Eddie and Martha Etta Brookshire Parham. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Arnold Parham, and sister, Lillie Hunt.
Ms. Parham is survived by her sister, Evelyn Parham; nephew Eddie Hunt and wife Sharon; and great-nephew Ethan Hunt.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday at the Mountain View Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery, with the Rev. Douglas Love officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday at Groce Funeral Home, Patton Ave.
The family expresses their thanks to the cousins, neighbors, and caregivers.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Manna Food Bank or to the Salvation Army.
