Nancy King

Nancy L. King, 70, of Eddie King Dr., Leicester, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 6, 2010. Mrs. King was born in Baltimore, MD, but lived in Leicester for most of her life. She was a daughter of the late John and Helen Rose Landis. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Hillard E. King, Sr.; daughter, Peggy L. Sutton; and grandson, Josh King. Mrs. King will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother. She was a people person who never met a stranger. She is survived by her son, Hillard E. King, Jr., and wife Debi; daughter, Catherine King Lawrence; brothers, John and Edward Landis; sister, Beverly Mills; grandchildren, Autumn King, Brooke and Randy Sutton, and Christy, William, and Sapphire Lawrence; and best friend, Reggie Worley. A memorial service for Mrs. King will be held at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Ave. with the Rev. Charles Phillips officiating. Her family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
