How well I remember Miss Nancy – Granny to me. She was always smiling and joking. If I teased her too much she would (jokingly) threaten to take me to the barn and whip me.
I can’t count how often she told me ‘Don’t grow old. It’s not how long your life is, it’s how much life in you!’
I remember when she hurt her back and started bringing a cart with her to church. She called it her ‘bucket’.
Of all the people I love and remember from my days on staff at CHOP, Nancy is one of my very favorites. I’m looking forward to seeing her ‘walking streets of gold’. I know she and Earl and her other family members have had an AWESOME Family Reunion!! In a way, I envy her…she beat me to Heaven!
Mrs Lowe was like my grandma I love her and I will miss her. She used to bake the best bread for me. She made beautiful scarfs and baskets. I know she is enjoying heaven with Mr Earl. We will all see you soon in the rapture. Love , Cheryl
We are going to miss Nancy Lowe.
I remember greeting her every Sunday morning at Candler House Of Prayer. She always wanted her Sunday morning hug. I would tell her that she looked great today just to hear her say that I made her day. She would say Bless your heart and give me another big hug.
Her favorite saying was ‘When you get old Push that pause button on the aging part.’ Well Nancy I know you have gone to heaven because you were faithful all those years.
You don’t have to push the Pause Button on the aging part no more.
You now have a new body and a new mind. I will see you in Heaven some day soon.
Miss Nancy, my heart is so heavy. I loved you so much. From the moment you walked into Lowes and into my life, I loved you. You are so dear to me and I was so sad to read about your passing. I will miss so much seeing you and little bit come into talk to me. I am so sorry I never came to the nursing home to see you, Please for give me for that. I did call and ask about you. I am so sad. I know I will see you again one day, and look forward to seeing that beautiful little face, and you will be their with Little Man. I know he was their to greet you along with all the angels and our sweet Heavenly Father. I love you Miss Nancy. I miss you. You will always be in my heart.
Ms. Nancy, there is no doubt in my mind that you will be greeted with open arms. You will be greeted just as you greeted those you came in contact with on this earth, such as my bubba David Redden and my mom Doris Buckner and who can forget Lucille Lucas. You were an angel here on earth and now your an angel in the Heavens with our Father. We love you Nancy.
I was sorry to learn that Ms. Nancy had passed away. I knew her only briefly, but she made a lasting impression upon me–she had such a special smile and she shared her faith in the Lord so freely. I wish I could have known her in a different setting and for a longer period of time. Many people still miss her in the West Asheville area. Unfortunately, I was unable to attend the services this afternoon b/c I was unable to get away from work. Ms. Nancy’s family and friends will remain in my thoughts and prayers.
