Natalie Edwards McClure

Natalie Jean Edwards McClure, 86, of Asheville, died on Friday, November 21, 2014, at Clare Bridge of Asheville. A native of San Diego, CA, Mrs. McClure was a daughter of the late Earl N. and Thelma Lorretta Talsyn Edwards. She married William Robert "Mac" McClure in May, 1946, and they were happily married for 68 years before he passed away on June 28, 2014. She is also preceded in death by her siblings, Eloise Christopherson, Loretta Hague, and Theodore George Edwards. Mrs. McClure was very active in the Women's National Democratic Club and was a long-time member of Groce United Methodist Church. Mrs. McClure is survived by her nephew, Charles Robert "Bobby" Stephens and wife Jean, of Hendersonville; niece, Marianne Cagle and husband George, also of Hendersonville; several other nieces and nephews; and sister, Marlene Leet, of Warner Springs, CA. A funeral service for Mrs. McClure will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Monday at the Garrett-Hillcrest Memorial Park Mausoleum. The Rev. Gerald Davis will officiate.
