I am sorry to hear about Al, I’m sure that he will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
All of the ‘white house’ family has been deeply saddened to hear of Al’s passing. Although we may have lost touch over the years we have not forgotten the many great times we all shared as we were growing up. Al, you were the patriarch of our close group, you taught us alot and kept us safe. Our comfort and love to you Bette and the children. Our ‘Dad’ Al, may you rest in peace.
Al and I grew up in the same neighborhood in West Asheville, and attended the same church and schools. I have a lot of good memories growing up with him.
I’m sorry for your loss. Al was a good guy.
Dear Bette & family; We were surprised and saddened to hear of Al’s passing. You and Al were a big part of our fun time in Asheville.
We smile when we think of all the huge laughs we had at our Pictionary dinners and the marathon weekends in Gatlinburg, Little Switzerland and elsewhere. We will always cherish those times and remember Al’s VERY dry sense of humor and your quick comebacks. We hope Al can find a good game of pictionary on the other side; and that he wins every game w/out cheating off you and Elaine!
Stan knows how special the Skyland Dist wine gang was. Being able to work closely with Al & other good friends was a once-in-a-lifetime experience not to be duplicated. Sorry we can’t make the visitation. Stan has dialysis 3x a week and it just wipes him out. Please send an e-mail. Eddie has our phone #. Please call. We would love to hear from you. Until then, you are in our thoughts & prayers.
