Nell Austin Hargett

Mrs. Hargett was a native of Union County and was a daughter of the late Wesley M. and Jennie House Austin. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Cora Jane Hargett and two sons, Joe Milton Harget and Major Wesley Hargett.
She had lived in Charlotte for most of her life before moving to Western North Carolina in 1993. She was a charter and active memberof Statesville Road Baptist Church in Charlotte.
Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Thelma and Leo Jackson of Horse Shoe and Nancy and Kenneth Tomberlin of Winston-Salem; one son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Sun Hargett of Guam; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 2:00 pm Tuesday at Austin Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Marshville, NC.
Mrs. Hargett will remain at Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian where friends may call on Sunday and Monday.
Memorials may be made to Statesville Road Baptist Church, Charlotte.
