Nell Victoria (Vikki) Fox, 88, passed away on October 21, 2021, of complications from COVID/pneumonia at Laurels of Greentree Ridge in Asheville, NC. She was preceded in death by her parents (Lloyd/Lydia Fox), four brothers/spouses (Charles/Stella, Lloyd/Inez, Staton/Helen and Graham/Faye) and one sister/spouse (Katie/Harold Keever). Her saddest times were the passing of four nephews (Gerald, Don, Ernie and Roy).
She is survived by one brother/spouse (Clay Dean/Lib) of Garner, NC and a multitude of nephews/nieces (Odean/Barbara Keever of Rutherfordton, NC; Nell Rita Hunt of Hendersonville, NC; Vikki/Jim Welch of Kingsport, TN; Graham/Grace Fox Jr. of Florence, AL; John/Julie Fox of Raleigh, NC; Dean/Carol Fox of Garner, NC; Staton/Traci Fox, Jr. of Statesville, NC; Gloria Fox of Landrum, SC). Many great (and great-great) nieces and nephews will mourn her passing but have so many “Bikki” stories to share and these stories will become more epic with each telling.
Vikki and her older brother, Clay, became legends at an early age when they entertained many classes during their time at Oakley School. Vikki sang while her brother accompanied her on the guitar. Although never married, Vikki was devoted to family and often entertained nieces/nephews with her on-the-spot renditions of popular TV show theme songs that she could play on the piano for them over and over and over. She became renowned with her creations of Sloppy J’s and actual green eggs and ham dishes. Always, Vikki was willing to go the extra mile to make her family laugh.
Vikki’s careers spanned stints as a dental hygienist for Buncombe County, floral designer/wedding planner and many years as a clerk of the Superior Court of Buncombe County under the Estates and Probate Division. She will be remembered by a myriad of folks for her assistance during difficult times in their lives.
Ms. Fox’s graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 30th, 1 PM at Woodlawn Cemetery. The family visitation will be prior to the service between 10 AM–noon on that day at Groce Funeral Home (856 Tunnel Road).
Donations can be made in her honor to Oakley Baptist Church, 70 Fairview Ave, Asheville, NC. Many thanks to the wonderful caregivers at the Laurels of Greentree Ridge for their loving care of our “Bikki”.
Groce Funeral Home Tunnel Road is assisting the family.

I visited Vikki many times with her sister in law, Helen. I was very fond of both of them. They will
be missed!
Vickie was a very special person and liked by all who knew her. She was very special to her family. My thoughts and prayers to the family and friends who have lost a very dear person.
Vikki was such a wonderful lady and I was so blessed to be a part of her family through Lloyd. We always talked about how klutzy we both were and laughed at ourselves and each other many times. The last time I had the pleasure of seeing her, we talked forever. The next day I broke my arm. I just had to call and tell her and as painful as it was, we both laughed so hard. I loved her and am thankful to have been loved by her. Larry and I want to express our deepest sympathy to all of her family. May God wrap his arms around each of you and give you comfort.
