Webb Family, I just found out about Nicky’s passing. I went to school with him at West Buncombe and Erwin. He had such a good personality. We were such good buddies. I ran into him at Food Lion at New Bridge about 10 years ago and we talked for a few minutes. I’ll never forget when we were at West Buncombe we used to talk about his name spelling the word new. You never know when you are that age that you could be gone at 50. I am so sorry. This has really touched me. I will keep you in thought and prayers.
Kathy E. Sluder
My heart is broke, I have always loved Nicks smile, and good hearted kindness. I will miss him stopping by the house. He was always a joy to be around. He was always happy and smiling. My prayers are we you.
I (Pam Young) went to school with Tim and Gary and I use to hang out with Kathy, our family was very sadden to hear of the loss of Nick. We know he is in a better place with the Lord. We pray for all of you and may God Bless You.

Grief is not a sign of weakness,
Nor a lack of faith,
It is the price of love.
We wish we could be with you all during this time. We are sending long distance prayers and hugs. We love you Marie and Dick.
Mamaw, Papaw, David, Tim, Cathy, and Susan we would like to take this time to express our love and care for you all during this trying time. Its times like this when the pain is real and we wish we could somehow stop it. May God blees each one of you during this time of loss and comfort you in knowing that Nick is with the Lord and is no longer suffering.
It will never be the same around Dix Creek without Nick. He was always around doing something, whether it was checking his minnow cages or scouting out the woods. He will be missed very much. We know the pain and grief you are in. Loss is such a pain for us to bear, but we know he is in a far better place than we are. Your family are in our thoughts and prayers. We Love you all like family. God Bless
I was sadden to hear the passing of Nick, I will always remember his smiling face and his laughter, Nick had such a loving and free spirit about him, it has been a while since I had shared smiles and laughter with Nick, but he’s the kinda of person who always will be remembered. Nick was a true boyhood friend and Dean and I had lots of fond memories of growing up with him.
I will never forget playing baseball and him getting in the batters box and squatting down so he had vertuilly no strike zone so he could walk.
And how can we ever forget having to carry him off of Spivey Mountain the day he broke his leg (ankle) as we were climbing and exploring the mountain.
Our prayers are with you all.
