Nina Lee Littrell Sherlin

nina lee sherlin
Nina Lee Littrell Sherlin, 72, entered Heaven Wednesday, August 24, 2011. We waited, watching and trying so hard to hear. But those sounds were not made for the human ear. Angels, with silent rustling wings, sent from our Father above, glided through the night to carry our loved one to her new home. We can only imagine her cry of delight as she saw Jesus, with arms open wide, standing there to welcome her to that Heavenly city. Gathered round our Father was all her loved ones. She was the daughter of the late Ted and Mollie Shook Littrell and was preceded in death by her husbands, George Sherlin and Robert Miller, daughter Lori Lee, granddaughters Crystal and Charity, sisters Eloise and Jackie, and brother Donald. She is survived by daughters Traci Clement and husband Joe, and Teresa Dalton and husband James; sons Greg Sherlin and wife Suzette and Keith Sherlin and wife Martha; 8 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; sister Brenda Hudgins; brothers Tommy Littrell and wife Betty Jean, J.G. Littrell and wife Joy, Robert Littrell and wife Frankie, and Roger Littrell; brothers-in-law Carlisle Sherlin and wife Brenda, and Larry Sherlin and wife Emma; and son-in-law James Brank. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home, with the Rev. Weldon Ramsey and the Rev. Charlie Sams officiating. Entombment will follow at Forest Lawn Mausoleum. Her family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Flowers are accepted, or memorials may be made to Four Seasons Hospice, 571 South Allen Rd., Flat Rock, NC 28731.
