Norma F. Bugg, 79, went home Friday, April 12, 2013, at the Brian Center, Weaverville.
Mrs. Bugg was born in Buncombe County and was a daughter of the late James E. Jones, Sr., and Beatrice Taylor Jones. She was preceded in death by a brother, James E. Jones, Jr., and a daughter-in-law, Glenda Bugg.
Mrs. Bugg was a nursing assistant, working as a private home nurse.
She is survived by two daughters, Elaine Thorpe (Earl) and Cindy Harmon (Danny); two sons, Lonnie C. Bugg and James D. Bugg (Brenda); sisters, Judith Tipton and Elaine Carver; brother, William W. Jones; ten grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles Phillips officiating. Burial will follow at Sulphur Springs (Academy) Cemetery.
Her family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
