Norma Gale Reece Clement, 64, of Asheville, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, August 9, 2011. A native of Buncombe Co., she was the daughter of the late Clyde Reece and Macie Guy. Mrs. Clement was loved dearly and leaves behind her husband of 48 years, William H. Clement, Jr.; five children, Karen and husband John Foster, Darren Clement, David Clement, Kristy Clement, and Karrie Clement, all of Asheville; brother, Kenneth Reece; and sister, Brenda Moffitt. She was also blessed with 10 grandchildren, Corey Barnett, Jonathon Foster, Karenda Foster, Cameron Clement, Kayla Clement, Jordan Foster, Kate Clement, Katarra Foster, Alyssa Ballard, and Aaron Garland. They all loved their nana. She enjoyed decorating and collecting poems. Her love was abundant for her little Shih Tzu's. A funeral service for Mrs. Clement will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday at the Groce Funeral Home chapel on Patton Ave. with the Rev. Ronald Dodson officiating. Interment will follow at Green Hills Cemetery. Her family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. on Friday evening at the funeral home.

  1. Norma was a wonderful neighbor and friend. What I will remember about Norma is that she dearly loved her husband and her children and that I never heard her say anything bad about anybody.

  2. Norma and I were friends for over 50 years, from 1st grade on. Never dreamed way back then we would have boys who would be best friends for over 35 years.Fond memories and friendships will carry on. She will be greatly missed by many. My thoughts and prayers are with all the family in this hard time.

  3. Norma was one of my other Mom’s when we boys were growing up. There are lots of good memories of her. Our thoughts and prayers are with all the family.

  14. We hated to hear about the passing of my dear cousin Norma. She was such a sweet little girl when I knew her. We feel for all the Clement family, and for her brother and sister also. I am Norma’s second cousin, and when we were young kids, we were together a lot. Same neighborhood. She was the matron-of-honor for my wife Joretta way back in 1962. Rest in peace, dear cousin.

  15. I knew Norma many years ago but unfortunately lost contact through the years. I feel she didn’t change any and was still a very pleasant person to know. My prayers are with all the family during this time. God bless you and keep you during this sorrowful times.
