Mrs. Cabe, a native of Proctor, NC, was the daughter of the late Arthur and Dora Cable Watkins.
Mrs. Cabe was a retired RN from the Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville, NC, and a member of First Baptist Church of Asheville.
She is survived by two sons, John Robert Cabe, Jr. and his wife, Kathryn Roseborough Cabe of Arden and Stephen Arthur Cabe of McHenry, MD, and three grandchildren, Jeremy William Cabe, Meghan Leigh Cabe and Taylor Robert Cabe.
Services will be held Friday, April 13 at 11:oo AM in the chapel of Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian on Long Shoals Road with W.J. Roseborough officiating. Interment will follow in Garrett-Hillcrest Memorial Park in Waynesville. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
