Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. My Uncle Orin, my childhood hero, my constant, my if anyone can do it my Uncle Orin can, my up to the date technology person that easily mastered all of the latest that the 60’s and 70’s had to offer, my shortwave radio buff that provided hours of listening to broadcast from around the globe from a Heathkit SW radio he bilt complete with headphones, he was the so cool when we took a road trip to Florida on which I drove his brand new 61 Chevrolet Impala and smoked cigars at the tender age of 14, he was my rock when my father and his oldest brother died, he was the family historian and never forgot a birthday. I am heartbroken for me but so happy for him in Heaven. Rest in Heavenly Peace your nephew Leonard or as you called me Lenny

  2. I was in the American Legion in Oteen with Orin and His brother Roy, for nearly 50 years. You can’t find Mem dedicated to their Comrades like they were. I will miss him, as I have Roy. Prayers to this fine family

  3. Sweet and kind, I remember your visits with your “Aunt Bob” , my grandmother, Robbie Lee. Always had a story or a joke.. love you.

  4. My great Uncle Orin, the last time I saw him was at my Granddaddy’s funeral (James Sircey). He was so kind and told me all about our family tree. I was so intrigued. I always loved his mustache.
    May he rest in peace.

  5. God Bless you!
We loved visiting with Orin on Maxwell Rd. We shared memories of Asheville & friends we had in common.
But, most especially our faith in God and his son Jesus Christ. We know & believe that Orin had eternal life (Romans 10:9&10) & we’ll see one another at our saviors return. 1st Thessalonians 4:13-18.
Love, Rick & Maureen Winkenwerder. 75 Maxwell rd.
