Otelia Louise Burrell, 73, formerly of 14 Candler Knob Road, Asheville, died Saturday, February 26, 2005, at Pisgah Manor nursing center. Miss Burrell was born in Haywood County and was a daughter of the late James Edward and Essie Payne Burrell. She was also preceded in death by a sister Truelbe B. Hightower and three brothers, James Oliver Burrell, Ralph Curtis Burrell and Verlin Burrell. Miss Burrell was retired from BASF and she was a member of Starnes Cove Baptist Church. She is survived by three brothers, Clarence R. Burrell, Sr. and his wife Hazel, J.B. Burrell, Sr. and his wife Mary, and Glenn E. Burrell and his wife Leona. A graveside service will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Pisgah View Memorial Park with the Rev. Charlie Sams and Robert E. Harris officiating. Her family will receive friends from 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. Monday at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue. Flowers will be appreciated or memorials may be made to Starnes Cove Baptist Church, 149 Starnes Cove Road, Asheville, NC 28806.
