Pam Louise Oliver (Wells) of Asheville died peacefully after a long and courageous battle with cancer at the John F. Keever Solace Center on January 15, 2018. Pam was born November 3, 1943 in Asheville. She loved children and was a co partner of P.J.’s daycare for 27 years before retiring. Pam is survived by her son David Oliver, her cousin Cathy Wells, and her longtime friend Joanne Turner all of Asheville, N.C., her niece Beth Affolter (Lu) and their children Shawn (Courtney), Alec and Brian and her nephew Max Fain (Monica) and their children Tinsley, Parker and Peyton, plus numerous neighbors and friends whom she loved dearly. She was preceded in death by her parents Herbert Doyle and Beverly Wells of Brevard N.C. and her sister Anne Parker Wells Fain of Spartanburg, S.C. A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, January 20 at 2pm, at Long Shoals Baptist Church, 661 Long Shoals Rd, Arden, NC. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Judes Children’s Hospital or to the John F. Keever Solace Center

  1. So sorry to hear this. We loved Pam. She was a blessing at PJs daycare as well as all the other ones. My daughter Courtney Conner was their from 6 wks old til she started kindergarten. My daughter was taken good care of by these wonderful women.

  2. Pam was a very sweet person . We were classmates in high school and I can remember her sweet smile. It’s sad to hear a classmate has passed on, but knowing the Lord is what matters when our time arrives. May God be near her family and friends during this time. Until we meet again…prayers for peace and comfort…
