Pamela Ann Dyer, "Puddin'", 47, of Asheville, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 20, 2008, at Memorial Campus Mission Hospitals. A native of Buncombe Co., Miss Dyer was a daughter of Hubert Edward Dyer, of Weaverville, and Georgia Carter, of Jonesboro, TN. She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Josephine Gillis Dyer Brown, and grandfather, Cordell Dyer. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her sister, Donna Renee Cottrell and husband Joe, of Candler; very special aunt, Maxine Dyer Rogers and husband Jerry; nieces, Monica and Valerie Cottrell; cousins, Tammy Rogers, Bodie Rogers and wife Joyce, and Amanda and Brad Rogers. The funeral service for Miss Dyer will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday in the Patton Ave. chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Rev. Worth Emory and Pastor Ken Roberts officiating. Interment will follow at Pisgah View Memorial Park. Serving as pallbearers will be Jerry Rogers, Bodie Rogers, Brad Rogers, Joe Cottrell, Ralph Gillis, and Colby Clark. Her family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Her family would like to extend a special "thank you," to Pam's physician, Dr. William Snoddy, who took care of Pam for many years.

It came such a short time after the home going of your sweet Mother,you must be devastated, but no doubt they are happy to be together again. I know you are sad and miss Pam very much and I pray you find comfort in knowing others care deeply. You have always been a lovely and caring family and the love of God will comfort and sustain you in the days to come.     I was so saddened to see that your sister had passed away.You probably don’t remember us going to school together or that your sister and my brother were at Irene Wortham together.I was a Freeman then.Your sister was so special and always had a smile on her face.My thoughts and prayers are with you.
