Pansy Hart Cox, 81, of Candler, died on Friday, September 19, 2008. at Pisgah Manor Health Care Center.
Mrs. Cox was a native of Buncombe Co., and was a daughter of the late John and Bessie Wells Hart. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert Blaine Cox, Jr.; and by her daughter, Jeanette Jones.
Mrs. Cox is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Frisbee and husband Charles, of Candler; sons, Robert Blaine Cox, III, and wife Audrey, of Candler, Richard Cox, of Hendersonville, Ray Cox and wife Nikki, of Canada, and Dale Cox and wife Sandy, of Leicester; brother, Clifford Hart, of Fayetteville; and many grand, and great-grandchildren, including her grandson, Robbie Raines, who resided with her.
A funeral service for Mrs. Cox will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday at the Groce Funeral Home chapel on Patton Ave. with the Rev. Roy Houston officiating. Interment will follow at the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery, in Black Mountain.
Her family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Everyone, I am so sorry to hear that Pansy has let this old world but I’m sure she is much happier now that she’s walking beside Jesus.I have so many great memories of Pansy and you all. She was a treasure and will be missed greatly.Please know that you all are in my prayers . Love to you all Hilda

Happy birthday mama! I really miss you. I think about you all the time. I know you were happy to see daddy, Jeanette and Robin again. Tell them I love all of them and miss them so much. Mama I know you were tired but it’s was so hard to lose you.I don’t know what we will do without you. Just watch over us and let us know you are still with us. I am sadden to hear of Mrs Cox passing. She was a great caring woman that never knew a stranger. She truly knew how to love. She will be missed dearly. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family in this time of grief. But may there be peace knowing that she is with Robert and Jeanette, shining in her home on glory.

I am so sorry to hear of Pansy passing. I have very fond memories of her. She was a great woman who watched after us kids as we were growing up. To all the Cox family I will keep you in my prayers as you are all going through this very difficult time. God bless you all. She was an angel.

Dear Audry, Cooter, Robbie & Family, I am very grateful to have known and loved Pansy these past 2 years. I was saddened for me and her family to hear of her death, and I take comfort in the many hours in which she shared her humour and her love with me. May your hearts be held gently in your time of grief.

I promised you that I would make something of myself, and that promise is all that keeps me going sometimes. You always worried yourself sick over us and wanted us to have everything that we needed. I really miss coming and staying the weekend with you. I know that you was ready to go and be with Jesus.
